This is a cute little candle holder for taper candles. It comes disassembled in four pieces, but is fairly easy to figure out how to screw together. It's very shiny brass but is only a few inches tall, so the price seems a bit high. I will gift this to a grandchild who's trying to create ambience in his bedroom, and I think he will enjoy the style. This is a very nice looking, decent material candleholder. The design (shape) is really nice, and the bright metal looks like real brass. I was surprised that it comes in a couple of pieces that you need to screw together - simple, but surprising because I thought it would be one piece. No big deal there. But...A couple of things:1. The top of mine is bent, and has been right out of the box. There’s no straightening it out. It’s only a slight bend, but noticeable.2. A standard tapered candle must be trimmed quite a bit to fit.Bottom line: if you want a nicely shaped, bright prop on a mantle or something, it’s fine. It’s quite pretty, actually. But if you want to also use it to hold a lit candle, you might not.
