I'm surprised Amazon fulfillment let this item go out. Mine has, obviously, been used and the packaging it came attached to was original, but watermarked like someone decided they didn't want it after all and fished the packaging out of the trash and wiped it off.As far as the item itself goes, it is actually darker than the photo, more of a pewter color. I've been reading the reviews and see several people comment that it doesn't fit their candles. My question to them is 'is your candle a Yankee Candle?' It fits my full size and short jar candles with no problems. It does get very hot when being used ... but it is a candle topper - it is supposed to.Anyway, I like mine just fine and have no complaints about the candle topper itself. I would recommend this to anyone who has Yankee Candle jar candles. The intricate design is beautiful.
