The candles were all floating around in the package and box was wide open. But they do burn for a long time.So far it's ok but after 2 hours had to put it out way strong but beautiful I will use it once in a while not everydayMidnight Jasmine is a personal favourite from the Yankee Candle range. The candle was well-packaged in a rigid walled box, inside the regular Amazon carton. On opening the jar, this smells amazing: a beautiful, floral scent that's true to real life evening-flowering jasmine. Lit, this smells lovely and scents a room beautifully.The jar is well made. The label is pretty. The candle wax is a pure white shade that would go with any decor, and the night-flowering jasmine scent could be used year-round.The candle burns evenly and without tunneling - if you follow the suggested care guidelines on the manufacturer website. It's a shame that a simple set if directions isn't included. The candle needs to burn for one hour per inch of diameter, until the whole of the surface is liquid, and should be extinguished after a maximum of 4 hours. After burning, the wick should be trimmed to 1/8". So far, following these directions keep the candle burning very uniformly.Have you, ever, wanted a candle that lasts for a long time because you'll never light it?This, is the candle for you!This candle, is amazing, it claims to be lemon, but is in fact scentless!The reek of the smoke will completely undo the faint hints of lemon that come off the candle before you've lit it. The lit candle gives off no smell, at all.This candle is terrible. Do not buy it. Consider saving your money, and spending it on something less terrible. Like an actual lemon.If you burned an actual lemon, it would be better than this candle.Do not buy this candle.In case it was not clear in my review, this candle is terrible.Yankee Candles provide good value in their mid market position, with attractive lidded jars and pleasant fragrances, although I would urge doing some in-store sniffing before purchase where possible to check the smell is to your taste.For best burning experience, keep the wick trimmed to no more than 3mm and use a candle snuffed to extinguish as that helps prevent the wax going everywhere.This is an attractively scented candle, which is good for the dining room, lounge or kitchen, or bath side if you have somewhere large enough for it to sit safely. The lid helps keep the dust off between burnings although this one smells so nice it is unlikely to get a chance to accumulate dust in this house.I know Yankee can be really hit and miss scent wise, sometimes it’s like you just burning dyed wax, but I can confirm that this Midnight Jasmine Large is veeeeery strong. At least particular jar is. Even buying two of the same fragrance at the same time can have completely different results. Oh Yankee, sort it out, you were a completely different company 10 years ago with consistent quality control.Anyway, yes, this Midnight Jasmine Jar is really good (if you like the smell of Jasmine obviously) I’m afraid I can’t comment on the one you may recieve.This is my favourite Yankee Candle scent, light floral, not sickly. The large candle lasts for a long time. If you want to give the candle has a gift you will need to dress it up yourself as it comes well packaged, but in a plain cardboard box.
